AMRL Accreditation
This week we have been under close scrutiny by the AASHTO Material’s Reference Lab (AMRL) through their onsite inspector as part of the requirement for AMRL accreditation. This process is a long and difficult one for any lab. There are over 2000 labs that undergo this process periodically and about 1800 of them do get accredited every 2 years. These 1800 accredited labs are spread all over the United States and Canada, including all the state DOT labs. The onsite inspector ranked BETA and its people to be on the top 3 or 4 labs out of all 1800! As for us doing this for the first time, among other first time labs we were ranked 1st by a long shot! This kind of ranking is extremely rare and it is solid proof of the hard work put in by all at BETA. Not many companies have a lab equal or better than ours (only 2 or3 do) and that is out of all asphalt, concrete, soil, and metal testing labs. Congratulations to BETA for their hard work and dedication to quality and excellence!!!
